Message from CEO – 1 July 2018
The sense of joy, wonder and inspiration created by ‘Together in Voice’ is, I am sure, still strong in the memories of everyone who took part in the evenings of shared worship in Wells Cathedral on Monday and Tuesday. There was a true sense of ‘togetherness’ as children and the BWMAT teachers celebrated through beautiful singing, thoughtful readings and prayers.
One Head teachers said at the end of the evening:
‘It was truly magical and memorable for us all – the purity of the children’s voices was wonderful. I was so proud of all the children, not just the children in my own school.’ Thank you to Peter Selby, Nicola Thompson, and to all staff who contributed to the planning, preparation and undertaking of this wonderful event. Your energy, talent, vision and hard work created two amazing, wonder-filled evenings that pupils, staff, their parents and families from across our Trust will always remember. Thank you to Rev. Sharon Crossman, The Bishop of Bath and Wells, Peter Hancock and The Bishop of Taunton, Ruth Worsley for sharing words of inspiration and leading us in worship.
This final month of the academic year is always a unique combination of teachers, staff and leaders working together to provide the highest quality teaching and learning whilst looking up and out into the future – making plans to build on successes, develop further and aim even higher in the next academic year. Thank you all in schools, in the Central team and to Trustees – for the commitment you show and the many incredible things you do every day to put what is best for pupils’ learning at the heart of our Trust.
