Be a Trustee or a Governor
Seeking great people
Becoming a Governor or a Trustee is an exciting opportunity to give back to the community, whilst also developing your professional skills. A background in education is not a requirement for every applicant, as a strong Trust Board or Trust Local Committee (TLC) balances a mix of different backgrounds, skills and experiences. We are committed to equality and diversity, and particularly encourage applications from minority, or under-represented groups.
Become a Trustee
Our Trust Board sets our vision, values and strategic direction, and holds the Chief Executive Officer to account for the leadership of our Trust. Becoming a Trustee therefore presents an exciting opportunity to positively impact upon the lives of thousands of young people across our growing family of schools and we are always interested to hear from individuals who are considering this role for now or in the future.
Applicants are sought from a mix of professional backgrounds including: Education, Social care/social justice, Finance and Corporate/Commercial sectors. Experience as strategic leader is essential and prior experience of an Exec/Non-Exec Director role on a Board is desirable.
Trustees do not need to be practicing Christians, however all are expected to uphold the Christian ethos of our Church schools and our application process is in conjunction with the Diocesan Board of Education. Applicants from any or no faiths are welcome.

Become a Governor
With more than 40 schools across the South West there are many governor roles within our Trust, each presenting a unique opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of our children. If you have time and enthusiasm to give, we would love to hear from you.
