National Large MAT of the Year 2025 - winners!
Multi Academy Trust Association Awards 2025
The call came in after 10pm. A night celebrating all that is best about multi academy trusts, at a hotel in Milton Keynes, had come down to the final awards of the evening.
We had been shortlisted with three other trusts for 'Large Trust of the Year' .... the list was on the screen ... and 'celebrity teacher' and compere Matthew Burton of 'Educating Yorkshire' fame had the envelope in his hand.
He opened it ... and BWMAT was officially named Large Trust of the Year at the Multi Academy Trust Association Awards 2025.
What a moment for EVERYONE in our Trust family. It truly has been a collaborative effort and we are so pleased the esteemed judges recognised everything we do.
Just being shortlisted was fantastic but to win - well, it's amazing, especially when up against such other brilliant trusts.
We were happy that our Chair of Trustees Pam Cosh, Three Saints executive head Connel Boyle, Three Saints Chair of Governors Terry Gibson and our Head of Comms Rich Coulter were on hand to receive the lovely glass award.
Asked to address the large audience, Pam paid tribute to all in the room who work to help children become the best version of themselves.
Our award entry described the transformative impact of our Education Strategy, the way we collaborate across schools and with central support, the way our schools play a huge role both for their communities and for all their families, and much more.
Everyone who is part of this - pupils, teachers, non teaching staff, governors, central team and community supporters - should feel very proud this morning.
