Worlebury St Paul’s Church School is celebrating a positive inspection outcome, with inspectors recognising the school’s performance under the new Ofsted framework alongside its caring community and effective leadership.
The inspection confirmed that the Weston-super-Mare school is meeting the expected standard in all areas under the revised Ofsted framework. This includes achievement, attendance and behaviour, curriculum and teaching, early years provision, inclusion, leadership and governance, and personal development and wellbeing. This outcome reflects a secure and consistent quality of education across the school.
Safeguarding standards were fully met, with inspectors noting an open and positive culture where pupils feel safe and well supported.
Inspectors highlighted the school as a warm and caring community where pupils feel a strong sense of belonging. Behaviour is positive and pupils approach their learning with enthusiasm, reflecting the secure foundations in place across the school.
Importantly, the report recognises that leaders have successfully stabilised the school following a period of change and have established consistent practice that meets the expectations of the new framework. Leaders demonstrate a clear understanding of strengths and next steps, ensuring that improvement is both focused and sustainable.
Pupils achieve well, with outcomes generally in line with national averages, and are well prepared for the next stage of their education. This reflects the school’s effective approach to curriculum, teaching and assessment.
