General changes made to Admission Arrangements for 2022/23

Previously all Trust schools have had individual admission arrangements, and for 2022/23 we brought these together into one set of admission arrangements for all schools in a local authority area.  This has meant we can easily simplify, standardise, and allow for comparison with other Trust school.

This is a brand-new document for 2022/23 Academic year, which has been restructured and the wording simplified.  The main sections of the new admission arrangements cover the arrangements for admissions e.g. important general information, starting school, changing school in year, and lodging an appeal.

We have then created 4 appendices, which cover:

Appendix A – Oversubscription criteria – this is the criteria for admission broken down by each school, and identifies the school name, address, contact details, published admission number, and whether the school has a catchment map and a supplementary information form (SIF).  Each oversubscription criteria contains a ‘Notes’ section which will reference to other places in guidance e.g. siblings, catchment maps, and a covid related statements for those with a faith-based criterion.

Appendix B – Catchment maps – If a school in appendix A identifies as having a catchment map, then the map is located in this section.

Appendix C – In-year application form – this is the Local Authority form which the Trust are adopting.

Appendix D – Supplementary Information Forms (SIF) – If a school in appendix A identifies as requiring a SIF, then individual SIFs are located in this section.
