Hours: Term time only, 209 hours annually, distributed across school terms in accordance with LGB meeting schedules. This consists of:
Swainswick Church School: 83 hours
St Saviours Church School:116 hours
BWMAT Clerk training/meetings and keeping up to date: 10 hours
Pay Grade: BANES M SCP 17, FTE £23836

These schools are both members of the BWMAT and are located geographically near to each other on the outskirts of Bath, in Larkhall and Upper Swainswick.
St Saviour’s Church Schools are a separate Infants and Junior school, working under one executive leadership team and governing body. Swainswick Church School is a very small rural school, with 3 mixed age classes. At Swainswick we provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for learning, where children grow and thrive in a supportive atmosphere of high expectations. We are very proud of our children, their approach to learning and their support of one another.
We believe that having a shared Clerk to Governors strengthens the relationship between our schools and is supportive of sharing of best practice. It also enables our clerk to have experience of clerking for different local governing bodies, and schools with distinct culture and ethos.
