Policy Review and Approval

The Trust maintains a rigorous policy review framework to ensure alignment with current legislation, Department for Education guidance and best practice.

A number of policies currently display review dates that pre-date recent updates to national guidance. This reflects the timing of the Trust's governance cycle rather than any delay in policy review. Following the publication of updated DfE guidance, the relevant policies were reviewed and amended by Trust officers and senior leaders and are currently awaiting formal ratification by the Board of Trustees at its scheduled meeting in October.

The revised policies have been prepared and are available in draft form, with any necessary procedural changes already communicated and implemented across the Trust. Consequently, Trust practice is aligned with current statutory requirements, notwithstanding the formal approval date.

The Board retains oversight of the policy review process through its governance schedule and will formally ratify the updated policies at the next available meeting. This approach ensures both timely compliance with revised guidance and appropriate governance through trustee scrutiny and approval.

Assurance Statement

The Trust is satisfied that it remains compliant with current statutory and regulatory expectations. The policies in question have been reviewed and updated in response to recent guidance changes and are progressing through the Trust's established governance process prior to formal ratification.
